Always remember haystacks in a field in Poyntzfield on the way home from schoolNewhall] The threshing mill was working and the RATS were running out by the dozen we kids armed ourselves with sticks and were running hither and thither trying to kill them we didnt suceed very well I think we were more in the mens way than anything.Iam a devout animal lover and I am horrified now at the thought of trying to kill ANY animal.
