Halcyon days. We used to have great fun pushing a big heavy roller round the courts. The new changing tents are in the background and used to be comandeered by the females.

Any one for TENNIS? Nice location on a bonnie summer morning.bracing sea air. I remember the wooden trellising. SANDY HOSSACK looked after the tennis courts.

As a laddie I can remember fine on a fine summer's morning walking from my wee hoosie on the hill [Viewfield Cottage] down through the Corselet fields, through the Chapel field onto Kincurdy Drive, past the tennis courts onto Lewie Grants shop. Messages for my mother was the errand. I was allowed a packet of crisps for my efforts with the wee salt bag-remember? Crisps seemed much nicer then! At an early hour residents in the Marine Hotel & The Marita would be out whacking the wee white ball. What a great ambiance, happy memories of these early days of youth.
